Login Error: “reCAPTCHA verification failed”
Users may sometimes see a reCAPTCHA error when trying to log in to web eKool or the eKool mobile app. This error usually appears when Google reCAPTCHA cannot verify that the login request is coming from a real user.
This article explains why it happens and how you can fix it on both web and mobile.
What causes the reCAPTCHA error?
This error usually appears when:
- Your internet connection is unstable or blocked by a firewall.
- Cookies or JavaScript are blocked in your browser.
- The device time is incorrect.
- You are using an outdated browser or app version.
- VPN or ad-blockers interfere with reCAPTCHA.
- Too many login attempts in a short time.
Web
- Refresh the page and try logging in again.
- Make sure your browser allows:
- Cookies
- JavaScript
- Disable browser extensions that might block reCAPTCHA, such as:
- Ad-blockers
- Script blockers
- Privacy add-ons
- AI or automation tools
- Check your device’s date and time. Enable automatic time.
- Try a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge).
- Turn off VPN or proxy if you are using one.
- Restart your internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile hotspot).
- Try another internet connection if available.
Good to know!
eKool works best in the latest versions of major browsers. Keeping your browser updated often fixes login errors.
Attention!
If you receive the error many times in a row, Google may temporarily limit verification attempts. Wait 5–10 minutes before trying again.
Mobile
- Fully close the app and reopen it.
- Check that your device has a stable internet connection.
- Make sure your device date and time are correct.
- See if there are any updates available for you device
- Update the eKool app to the latest version from Google Play or App Store.
- If you use a VPN, turn it off and try again.
- Close other apps that may interfere with reCAPTCHA (for example, gamems or security apps).
- Restart your device.
Good to know!
If you cannot log in on mobile, try logging in once via web eKool. This often resets reCAPTCHA validation.
Still cannot log in?
