Recent entries
The Recent entries feature lets you quickly reuse lessons, homework, or assessments you have created before.
Instead of typing the same content again, you can select a recent entry and use it as a starting point for a new one.
When should you use Recent entries?
Use this feature if you:
- Teach the same topic to multiple classes
- Give similar homework regularly
- Create assessments with a similar structure
How to reuse a recent entry?

- Open Lesson Builder, Homework Builder, or Assessment Builder.
- Select a Journal (if one is not selected yet).
- Click Recent lessons, Recent homework, or Recent assessments.
- Browse the list or use the Search field to find the entry you want.
- Click the entry to select it.
- The selected entry is applied to the form immediately.
- Edit the content if needed and save.
What happens when you select an entry?
When you select a recent entry:
- The title and description are filled in
- Attachments are copied
- Lesson type, checkmarks, and points are filled in (where applicable)
You can change anything before saving.
Good to know!
Recent entries copy both content and settings. Always review the lesson type, checkmarks, and points before saving to make sure they match your current class or activity.
How the Recent entry list works
- The list opens as a scrollable drop-down above the Title field
- More recent entries appear first
- Each entry shows:
- The title
- A short description preview
- A journal tag and how many journals the entry has been used in
- The last modified date
