Creating a New Teacher Account
A new teacher is granted access to the school’s eKool environment by the school administrator. The administrator sends an invitation to the teacher’s email address when:
- the teacher does not yet have an eKool account, or
- the teacher already has an account but it needs to be linked to the new school.
Below are instructions for both scenarios.
The teacher does not yet have an eKool account
If the teacher has never used eKool before:
- The administrator sends an invitation email.
- The invitation includes a link with a Create account button.
- Click the link and follow the steps:
- Enter the required information.
- Set a password.
- Confirm your account.
Once the account is created, access to the school’s eKool environment is granted.
The teacher already has an eKool account
If the teacher already has an existing eKool account:
- The administrator sends an invitation to the registered email address.
- Login to eKool and open Requests.
- Accept the invitation.
The account exists, but no journals are visible
If the teacher has an eKool account and is connected to the school, but nothing appears in the Diaries menu, there are two possible reasons:
- The teacher has not been assigned to any diaries - please contact the school administrator to be added to the relevant subjects and classes.
- The teacher is expected to create diaries themselves - if the school policy requires teachers to create their own diaries:
- Click Create journal.
- Fill in the necessary details and save.

If you haven’t received the invitation, first check your spam or junk folder. If the email is not there either, please contact your school’s eKool administrator.
